Library Resource Center
The Library Resource Center on each of the three campuses is an information center providing students with access to a broad range of materials and services to improve learning. The aim of the LRC's and their professional staff is to assist students in attaining their educational goals and in developing research skills. Across the three campuses, approximately 150,000 volumes and 1,021 periodical subscriptions are integrated with over 22,000 videocassettes, slides, computer disks, CD-ROMS and other audiovisual items accompanied by a variety of equipment and computers to facilitate the learning process. An on-line public access catalog contains the book and audiovisual holdings of the three campus libraries. The library home page provides access to SUNYConnect databases and the World Wide Web.
Other offerings include services for the disabled, photocopying, personal computers, typewriters, study guides, college catalogs, and group study rooms. The College Archives are housed in the North Campus Library Resource Center.
In addition to the campus facilities, local and state library resources are available to students through the inter-library loan network and the LRC's membership in the Western New York Library Resources Council. ECC students with a current ID card may borrow materials from Buffalo State College, SUNY at Buffalo and other SUNY libraries.
